ENTAJ chicken Eastern Oozy

ENTAJ chicken 500 g

Puff pastry ready-made 8 pieces
Rice 1 cup
Chicken broth  2 cups (500 ml)
Onion 1
Peas  1/cup
Canola oil, salt, cinnamon, black pepper, nutmeg, Miskeh, laurel (as desired)
almonds, walnuts and pine nuts all fried.

How to prepare it:

• In a pot full of water, place the ENTAJ chicken and add salt, pepper, miskeh, laurel and nutmeg.
• Drain from water and remove the bones from the chicken.
• Fry the chopped onions and add the chicken and salt to it.
• In a pot, place the chicken mixture with rice and peas; add the chicken broth to cover them and leave it to boil. Then, reduce heat to medium and keep it until the rice absorbs all the broth.
• Leave the rice to cool and add the fried almonds, walnuts and pine nuts.
• Spread the puff pastry, cut it into squares and fill it with the chicken & rice mixture.
• Close the edges and corners of the puff pastry and brush it with oil.
• Bake them in the oven for 10-15 minutes at a temperature of 200°C until they become golden.
• Served warm with yogurt or salad.
